Y-Axis Transparency Sorting for 2D Top-Down Games
By default, Unity sorts transparent 2D sprites based on distance to the camera along the Z-axis, causing incorrect layering in top-down games.

How to Use: Open Project Settings > Graphics > Transparency Sort Mode. Select Custom Axis and enter X = 0, Y = 1, Z = 0. Sprites positioned higher on screen automatically render behind lower sprites.
