Measure Performance in Frametime (ms), Not FPS

FPS is non-linear and masks frame pacing issues or isolated latency spikes.

#Performance

The Tip: FPS is non-linear and masks frame pacing issues or isolated latency spikes.

How to Use: Measure game performance using frametime (milliseconds). Dropping from 60 FPS to 43 FPS represents a 6.5 ms increase (16.6 ms → 23.2 ms), while dropping from 1000 FPS to 500 FPS is only a 1 ms shift (1 ms → 2 ms). Target a stable frame timing budget (e.g., 16.6 ms for 60 FPS).
