Group Inspector Fields Using [System.Serializable] Classes

Having dozens of unorganized variable fields in the Inspector creates clutter and leads to setup mistakes.

#Programming

The Tip: Having dozens of unorganized variable fields in the Inspector creates clutter and leads to setup mistakes.

How to Use: Define nested C# classes marked with [System.Serializable]. Unity automatically renders these as clean, collapsible foldouts inside the Inspector.

using UnityEngine;

public class CharacterStats : MonoBehaviour
{
    [System.Serializable]
    public class MovementSettings
    {
        public float walkSpeed = 3f;
        public float runSpeed = 7f;
        public float jumpForce = 12f;
    }

    public MovementSettings movement;
}
